Daniel Masterson who is known by his popular name Danny seems to have surged in serious allegations. The actor is well known for the role of Steve Hyde that he played in That 70’s Show. Also, he is known for playing Rooster in The Ranch. Things started to turn upside down for him when hewas arrested and charged in connection with three rape allegations on June 17, 2020. Rape Case to moved forward: Says Court
“A California judge ruled on Monday that a rape case could move forward against former” That 70s Show “actor Danny Masterson, a report said. It was previously reported that Masterson, who played Hyde in the hit sitcom, was accused of raping three women at his home in Los Angeles in the early 2000’s.
He’s scheduled to be arraigned on Nov. 2, the judge ruled out on Monday, rejecting his lawyer’s argument that the allegations were too old for him to faces charges. The judge further ruled on Monday that the statute of limitations should not apply to the alleged incidents of 2001 and 2003 because it falls under the ‘one strike’ rule.The LA County DA agreed with the lawyers that on November 2 on three charges of forcible rape, Masterson, currently free on $3.3 million bail, will be arraigned. For certain sex offenses, the ‘one strike’ rule allows for potential life sentences.
As Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Eleanor Hunter rejected the motion from his defense attorneys, Thomas Mesereau and Sharon Appelbaum, the 44-year-old actor did not show up in the courtroom. Tom Mersereau, Masterson ‘s attorney, filed a lawsuit in September for the charges against him to be declined. The actor is also accused of launching a harassment campaign against his alleged victims in a civil suit to “force them into silence.”
